Week 39

What would you do in a chemical threat?

Our bodies have a natural reaction to either fight or flee from circumstances that are less than pleasant.  When a disaster happens sometimes we need to flee the area to find safety.  In the case of a chemical or radiation threat fleeing would be the worst thing that you could do.  The best and safest thing would be to stay where you are.  So, make sure that your emergency packs are packed and you have something fun to do to keep you entertained. Most chemical and radiation threats will last only a few hours, but you could be confined for days until your local authorities inform you that you are safe to move about.  Just make sure you are prepared and ready so if the hours turn into days your family does not suffer.
