Valentine's Day is right around the corner. If you are anything like me it isn’t one of those holidays you get super excited about. If you are in love you probably go to dinner and give something to each other you don’t need. If you don’t have that special someone you are wishing you did. Let’s shake it up a little by doing the unconventional this year. Here are some ideas to make someone else’s Valentine's Day special.

1-    Smile at Strangers-

If you have never done this it will change your day! Make it a goal to smile at 10 Strangers today it will brighten their day and yours.

2-    Offer to Babysit-

This is huge for a Holiday I know that we are always looking for sitters. If you volunteer remember the favor could be returned.

3-    Make some of your favorite treats to share-

I love to bake so I know that if I am craving something someone else is too. Make your favorite and share the love.

4-    Donate something-

We always think about the people who are need most around Christmas time. Guess what they need things all year round. Have a coat drive or make some blankets. Donate your time to serve a meal. This always brings more love.

5-    Write a Thank you Note-

Not an email or an E-card an actual hand written mailed by the post office note. When was the last time you were excited about getting mail?  Make someone’s day by saying thank you!

I am always looking for ways to make someone else’s day. This should be a goal everyday! When you are thinking of others your problems seem to disappear. Spread the love!
