Hooray it is Finally July! This is my favorite time of year. The 4th of July is my favorite Holiday. I love that we Americans are so excited to celebrate our freedoms that so many have fought for. I am so overcome with emotion when the big fireworks boom in the air. What a great time to thank any and all soldiers past and present.
I have been thinking about what I love to do on the fourth that always makes it special. Here are some ideas that maybe you can start doing with your Families.
1-) Parades- I said the dreaded word. I Love Parades my husband hates them we compromise I get to go every few years and I love every second. This is a tradition that my family has done since I was tiny. I know that there is a Parade just about in every city across America. Go have fun with your kids.
2-) BBQ- I do not know anyone out there who doesn’t love a good BBQ on the fourth. Check out some of the Recipes on our website for great ideas for your BBQ.
3-) Make Homemade ice cream- it’s hot on the 4th let’s not melt away. Make some homemade ice cream. So many berries are in season you can find some to add to this great treat!
4-) Go on a hike- one of my favorite things about living in Utah is that we have the mountains at our fingertips. We don’t use them enough and the 4th is a great day to get outside.
5-) Make Tie-dye matching shirts- we used to do this when we were little. So much fun to make these shirts and see how they turn out. Everyone is different.
6-) Fireworks- I remember that this was the time of year you could be outside and out late. Playing with friends in the Neighborhood. Have a neighborhood firework show. Invite all your neighbors over it are a great way to get to know all those neighbors you may not know.
Here are just some ways to celebrate this wonderful outside Holiday! I am so grateful for the people who have allowed me to have the Freedom’s I enjoy. I love this country we live in. I hope all of you have a fun and safe holiday.
