Today was Mothers Day, and I got to have one of those moments that mothers either look forward to or dread. My oldest lost his first tooth!!! He is growing up!!!
We were SO excited that we started screaming, hugging, and frantically looking for my phone to take pictures and let the family know. :)

With all the commotion going on we decided it would be best if we put the tooth in a plastic baggie in order to not loose it (Literally!). We really didn't want the tooth-fairy to not have a tooth to collect when she came tonight.
After all the phone calls, screams, and hugs my little man left the kitchen while Ed and I talked.

The next thing I hear is the sound of my little man's voice calling me through his tears, "Mommy"! I rush to his side to find giant tears running down his face. He reaches for me and proceeds to inform me what happened.
My little man had looked at his tooth and noticed that it still had some blood in the middle of it. Knowing that the tooth-fairy was on her way, he didn't want to give her a dirty tooth. He went to his bathroom, where he proceeded to brush his tooth. He carefully removed the tooth from the protective baggie and started brushing, only to have the tooth slip from his fingers right down the drain.

After Ed and I calmed his tears, Ed led my little man to the bathroom. Ed removed the p-trap from the sink and the two men searched for the missing tooth, but no luck.
My little man was heartbroken! How could the tooth-fairy get his tooth now!!!

Knowing that the tooth-fairy was magical and could find teeth no matter where they were... he decided that the best thing to do would be writing the tooth-fairy a note! This would let her know where to look. :)
I have to say... this was a GREAT day to be a Mom! Happy Mothers Day!
